LEGACY

Today’s Joy Notes is a moment to remember that we all have a LEGACY. The question is what do we want it to be? Legacy is more than what we achieve; it’s what we leave embedded in the lives of others. It’s the ripple effect of our actions, values, and contributions. When we think about legacy, we’re not just contemplating survival but asking ourselves whether we want our journey to be about survival alone or about the impact we have on the world. Do we want to simply live, or do we want to live with purpose?

To be remembered for something meaningful, we must first define what that means to us. A Legacy isn’t limited to grand gestures or wealth; it can be as simple as the kindness we show, the support we offer, or the values we instill in those around us. It’s about creating something that lasts beyond our time—a piece of ourselves that inspires, uplifts, or guides others, even after we’re gone.

Reflecting on legacy prompts us to consider what we’re actively giving to others and the changes we’re fostering. Are we empowering others, fostering positive change, or contributing to a vision bigger than ourselves?

Legacy matters because, whether we think about it or not, it will be left behind. Each action and choice shapes it. Knowing this can motivate us to live intentionally, understanding that even small acts of compassion and integrity build something lasting. Legacy is, ultimately, a testament to the lives we’ve touched and the change we dared to make.
